Monster uses the body horror genre to explore the fear of missing out, of losing out in life and our deepest human fear: of own mortality.

It is written and directed by award wining short film and television director Laura Smith.

Laura Smith
Writer & Director
Laura is an award winning film and television director. Her five short films were commissioned by the BFI and CHANNEL 4 among others and screened worldwide at cinemas, festivals and on television. She has directed television drama for the BBC and CHANNEL 4 and is a graduate of the UK National Film and Television School
Jenny Walker
Jenny is executive producer on feature film PENANCE and is currently working on international feature OMMI. Her production company FoR Films has produced many award-winning short films. Jenny has made over 50 hours of awarded high-end documentaries and documentary-drama for UK broadcasters including BBC, Channel 4 and ITV
Helen McAulay Stewart
Co-Producer FoR Films
Helen Stewart is a line producer and consultant for mainstream broadcasters including the BBC and has decades of experience as a project manager for film and TV projects. She has set up and run independent companies and managed large projects in-house for mainstream broadcasters
Jasmin Greenland
Associate Producer FoR Films
Jasmin joined FoR Films in 2017 having previously worked as a Marketing Director for multiple theatre companies. She worked closely with Zero, a touring one woman show tackling issues of female anxiety and sexual abuse. Prior to that she gained a degree in Film and Television from the University of Bristol
William Budd
Associate Producer FoR Films
William joined FOR Films in 2017 having previously worked as Media Coordinator for New Generation Music in Bristol, supporting and maintaining the marketing for multiple campaigns at a time. Prior to that he studied Media and Popular Culture at Nottingham Trent University
